Background
Former CEO and board chair with direct fire sector experience and a track record running branch-network B2B services businesses at scale. Malcolm Jackman served as Non-Executive Chairman of Force Fire, a leading mid-market Sydney-based fire protection business, from February 2018 to March 2025, bringing firsthand knowledge of how fire protection businesses are governed and scaled. He was Chief Executive of the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission (SAFECOM) from 2015 to 2019, leading reform across the state's fire and emergency services. Malcolm is a member of the Anacacia Capital Business Advisory Council. His broader executive track record includes CEO of Coates Hire, Australia's national equipment rental business with a multi-branch operating footprint; CEO of Elders Limited; CEO of Defence SA; and CEO of Manpower Australia and New Zealand. Malcolm also served as Non-Executive Chairman of ASX-listed Big River Industries from 2019 to 2023 (Non-Executive Director from 2016) and Non-Executive Chairman of SubZero Group Limited and Norwest Productions. He currently serves as Non-Executive Chair of Harrold & Kite, Mentor & Advisor to the Board at SuperGuardian. Malcolm spent his early career as an officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy and holds degrees in accounting and mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Directors (FAICD).
